What’s So Cool about Vancouver?

Well… a lot of things.
For starters, it’s in the middle of nature – the tourists will have a lot to see. Water and mountains share the same landscape – a pleasure for the traveler. The metropolis is surrounded by the Strait of Georgia, Burrard Inlet and the Fraser River and overlooked by the spectacular Coast Mountain Range.
Vancouver is named after Captain George Vancouver a British explorer. He is know for exploring the North-West of what is now Canada. He was the first European to set foot on Burrard Inlet.

The city is Canada’s 3rd largest, the biggest port and the most important road and railway communication node.
Vancouver is considered one of the most desirable places to live in the world, in spite of the clod temperatures. Plus, the city is jam-packed with tourists – over 9 million visit here every year, contributing billions of dollars to the budget.

The nightlife of Vancouver was close to none until recently, because of the fact that the imposed closing time for bars and clubs was early compared to other cities. This changed a few years back, so, if you’re a party animal, you can res assured that you will have plenty to do while the athletes are not performing.
